Jess, Gen, two special girls that are all grown up. How your mother loved you! You and Andy were the light of her life! She spread love every where she went. From the "Monkey Bread" to excercising with "Sweating with the Oldies", we always enjoyed being in her company. One time she even orchestrated a "Let's Make A Deal" at a ladies meeting and "planted" a very large DDDD bra in someone's purse! Oh what laughter she could bring! She was always missed when you moved away and now more than ever. May you continually recall upon your memory to relive the joyious times.
My love to you all.

Hovering in a grieving space
between memories and reality, hard.
Need a quiet, holy grace
that holds us gentle, rocking hearts
comforting, wrapping soul with Spirit's salve
Lita slipped out of earth's heavy clothing,
now wrapped in heaven's radiant garments,
welcomed by Father, Son and Spirit's embrace,
painless bliss she is celebrating, dancing, spinning...
I catch a glimpse, she's smiling again.
She gazes into love divine, beyond suffering,
now she's free!

Dearest Lita Clark's children, many years have gone by and you are all grown by now with children of your own I am sure. I loved your mother and you as well, and have many precious memories of her especially. I can still see that twinkle in her eyes, because she was ALWAYS up to something! Her laughter was very unique, like non other. I am so sorry for your loss and I wish that life didn't have to come with death. You are all so very dear to me and I will be holding you up in prayer as you face the days ahead and all of it's loneliness that it will bring. She would want you to remember her with love, and happiness, even though the tears will flow! Lean on Jesus through the days ahead and let him speak to your hearts to encourage you, to lead you, to help you!!! May God comfort and keep you in his love always. Gail Payne

Jess, Ginny, Andy and family, my heart goes out to you all during this time. Your mom was so full of love and always had a smile on her face. She was like a second mom to me, always opening her home for your friends and embracing all of us as her own. Her kindness resonated with everyone she encountered. Her love for the three of you was overwhelming; she adored you all. The impact she made on each of you is clear, evidenced by the care you show to your loved ones and to everyone you know. I'm praying for you and will be thinking of you in the days ahead. Love you all.

Jessie, Ginny, and Andrew...
Tim and I are so sorry for your loss. We have many fond memories from when we lived next door to you. I am so thankful that I got to reconnect with Lita. I really felt led to contact her, so I know it was a God thing. She said she didn't want to impose, but I told her it was a blessing for me to be able to help her and it definitely was a blessing. She was such a sweet person. The last time I saw Lita she was thoughtful enough to ask about my Mom, who also has cancer, even though she was suffering at the time. That demonstrates to me what a kind heart she had. Her positive attitude and her fighting spirit were so inspiring. You guys were her pride and joy, including Brooklyn and Cora , of course. She may not be here with us physically, but she will always be in our hearts. Heaven has gained an Angel. We are both so sorry that we will not be able to attend the service, but we will be there in spirit. Please call on us if there is anything we can do to help you in the future.
Love,
Tim and Sherrie Smith

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I will truly miss seeing Lita's smiling face. She was such an inspiration to me with all her joy and such a positive attitude, and her strength. I remember the day we spent together when she was helping me at the clinic get ready for a Relay for Life fundraiser...we were sorting and cleaning purses, and we had a great time laughing and finding left "treasures" in them. She will be dearly missed here at Longstreet Cancer Center!!!

Jessica, Ginny, and Andy and your spouses and children. I was so very saddened to hear of Lita's passing. What a passion she had for life!! What a joy she had to share something new that she made or baked. I still have in my cookbook (and refer to it every yr. just to make sure that I have it right) her recipe for "Lita's Cream Cheese Balls". She was an awesome mother who gave and then gave more when it seemed there was no more to give. May the warm memories flood your heart when sorrow wants to stay and you smile as you remember your Mother. We love all of you and are praying for your strenghth during the most difficult time in life. I pray that you touch your children's lives as she touched yours and others that she came in contact with daily. She was a blessing to our church serviing in many capacities. The First United Pentecostal Church (now The Church of Columbus) loved your mother!! Sis. Sarah Sheppard Pastor's wife

My mind is flooded with the memories of first meeting Lita back around 1984 time frame.. We connected immeditaly and became fast friends. Memories like, we decided to teach aerobics together and her drinking TAB (her favorite drink at the time, due to it had 0 calories) watching her teach Sunday School and bring to life the bible stories. Her smile, her laughter, and the long open hearted conversations. I remember coming to visit the family in GA or AL wherever they were living at the time, before we were heading back to Germany, and Andy was just a baby. She gave him to me right at the time he messed all over. I was in total shock and awe and couldn't pass him off fast enough.. She stood there and laughed until she was crying.. (that was before I had my son) Her sense of humor, her abundance of love and her friendship I know will be greatly missed by many. I lost conncection with her over past years, due to life being fast and furious, and now I grieve for the lost time we missed and I grieve because I will never get that back or have that opportunity again. All I can hope and pray is that we can connect again in heaven, whenever that time comes.
Remember Jessica, Ginny and Andy, she has left a hole in the fabric of life that cannot be filled, but she will live on in your hearts and minds with the memories, her love and legacy that she has passed to you. You will always hear her in your hearts. I loved her dearly.
