Obituary of Alice H. Goolsby

Mrs. Alice Hayes Goolsby, age 79, of Buford, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, after an extended illness.A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. A.J. Mullinax officiated. Interment followed in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford. The family received friends Monday from 6-9 P.M. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Surviving are Grandaughter, Barbara Jean Smiley, Fl.; Grandson, Mark Blankenship, Fl.; 1 Great Granddaughter; Sister and Brother In-Law, Mildred and Max Tapp, Doraville; Sister, Agnes Pugh, Buford; Brother, Ernest Hayes, Buford; Brothers and Sisters In-Law, Howard and Patsy Hayes, Al. And Boyce and Susan Hayes, Cumming. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Goolsby was born in Hall County. She lived in Florida for many years and retired from the Ft. Lauderdale Police Dept. before returning to Buford. She attended Friendship Baptist Church in Buford.
