Michael Doran Kiah, age 59, of Dacula, GA died on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Gwinnett Medical Center, Lawrenceville, GA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 1:00PM, at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Luther R. Kiah, and one niece, Arnisha Akintunde. He is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda Gerald Kiah; children, Michelle, Michonne Pointer (Leroy), Monica, Lurandrew (Latoya), Yvette Searight (Jamie), and Joshica; loving mother, Doris L. Kiah; one brother, Gregory Alden; one sister, Benita Denise; five grandchildren, Andre', James, Tiger, Taylor and Laylawne; one aunt, Alyce Payne; loving mother-in-law, Delaware Gerald; a devoted brother-in-law, Steven Gerald; three sisters-in-law, DelResia Brand (Terry), Leonora Brock and Sheri Gerald; one nephew, Flemmon Wright, Jr. (Tomekia); one niece, Adrianne Marvrette; a number of great nieces, nephews, and cousins; his best friend, Andre Daniels, and a host of caring friends. Michael was born February 29, 1952, in Washington, DC. He attended elementary and high school in Washington, and later graduated from Prince George's Community College in Largo, MD. He was employed as a Technical Implementation Specialist with Pearson Digital Learning until his death. In January 2011, Michael received the Regional Engineer of the Year Award. Michael loved the church. While residing in Georgia, he lead the education ministry at Word of God Christian Center. He later became an Elder and teacher at Kingdom of God Learning Center in Duluth, GA. In his early years, Michael loved auto racing and aspired to build his own car. In his later years, he continued his love for fast cars but also fulfilled his dream of becoming a private pilot. As a pilot, he was an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and its Young Eagles program
