I met Betty after her stroke while working in physical rehab where she was a patient. She later transferred to another facility for continued treatment where my Mother was also a patient. They became friends along with her daughter, Helen. The four of us would visit most weekday afternoons after I got off work and they were finishing up dinner. We had lots of interesting conversations. Betty always had a smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She had a hard time speaking due to her stroke, but that was ok. She had a great attitude and was always happy. I enjoyed those visits and Betty even put my Mom in her place a few times...and that took some doing! I miss Betty, and Helen, I pray that you will always remember your Mother's best days, and that she seemed truely happy. May God continue to comfort you.

Very nice! I love the old pictures. I only knew Betty as a "senior", but she was a sweet lady and a good buddy to my Mom. We do miss her!

Miss Betty, I will always remember your laugh and smile. I cannot get over how much you and my mom(Betty) were so much alike. I hope you know how much you are and will be missed by many. You will never be forgotten grandma. Throughout the many years I've shared some great memories with you. Your smile will stay with me forever. Betty will alway's have a very special place in my heart. She was a dear friend whom I considered to be like a very own sister. She believed in me at a time when I didn't believe in myself. She gave me the strength to finally stand on my own. We met when we were in our thirties and have been good close friends ever since. I will truly miss my dear friend and will never forget her. Ms. Betty was a woman of strength for sure. I have had the pleasure of knowing her since I was in diapers and now I am 45 years old. We were family and had so many wonderful and fun times together. She actually gave my mother and I our start of being able to have a normal life. For that I will be forever grateful. I will alway's remember her laugh, the clothes & the home made Holiday cakes she would make. Her willingness to go boyfriend snooping when my big sister Helen (her daughter) and I were young and dating. I will also remember her love for Disney World. I believe it was the one place in the world that made her still feel young and alive. I have so many wonderful memories that I will hold forever in my heart along with much love and gratitude.
