Well tonight I had a memorial for Natalie and her family while I watched Glee. I recently moved to Va after 4 years of working with Natalie and able to watch her family grow. We both loved to share our thoughts after the show and tonight's show... she sent this episode to all of us. Glee sends great messages through humor but more importantly through song. This episode was about loosing someone you loved and having the faith to get you through . Natalie loved her music, that damn Ipod was running most of the day, but it was what she loved. I even got her to start loving Barbra S after the episode where "don't rain on my parade" was sung. One song tonight said " when I think of you I think of a song" Wow. Natalie and music...always together for me and Family and faith. The you in the song referred to God. So now God has added beautiful music, 5 beautiful songs of love, to his collection. This show hit it all. I loved how she sent it to us and I will always have Natalie and her loving family holding hands in my heart. Patty!

Natalie, thank you for being so warm and kind to all of us during your time here, your whole family lived this way. You shared so much with us and treated everyone equally. You were an honest person, the good kind of honest; always fair and respectful to others. I remember when I was singing a song to you one time and you said, 'so are you going to sing to me now', and I responded, 'yes, of course', and I intend to keep singing to you as you were that special to me. To all those who knew and loved this wonderful family.....I was the 8th car to come upon the accident traveling from the outer banks heading to Raleigh. I waited with the other 9 cars for almost an hour as I watched one ambulance after another leave and return. I spent most of my time praying for whoever was in the accident not knowing that Daniel and his family had died. Why I am even wanting to share and have tried to find the details is that during this time the sky was so dark, many shades of grey and black. I was scared that a tornado might touch down. When the last ambulance drove away I looked up and saw a white bird pass over. At that moment I knew that who ever was hurt was in God's hands. We were all asked to turn around and take another route. It is then I found out from the police officer that it was a fatal accident. Please know that that I was significantly affected by my experience and that this beautiful family is already doing their ministry from above. Please know that while I was a stranger when I came upon the accident I feel so connected to the Alvarez family and I send my love to all of you who were so blessed to have had this short time with them. Life is precious and I realized it on Sept 30th. Annee Martin
