Obituary of Colonel Joe C. Seanor

Colonel Joseph Clifford Seanor, Jr., United States Air Force (Ret.), age 84 of Hoschton, Georgia, died Friday, June 18, 2010. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church, Buford. Father Tim Watts will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford with full military honors. The family will receive friends Friday, June 25, 2010 from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to be made to St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church, Building Fund, 3805 Braselton Hwy., Buford, GA 30519. Mr. Seanor was preceded in death by his wife Sara Seanor. He is survived by his daughters and sons in-law, Patricia and Larry Bell, Braselton, Jane and Jimmy Pulliam, Covington; son and daughter in-law, Joe and Gail Seanor, Hoschton; Grandchildren, Daks Hamner, Kyle Pulliam, Tommy Pulliam, Jessica Pulliam, Christian Seanor, Shane Seanor, Samantha Seanor; Brother, Jack Seanor, MO. Mr. Seanor was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 14 years. He served 30 years active duty with the United States Air Force during WWII, Korea and Vietnam, assigned to the Pentagon and also as Vice Commander of the 459 Tactical Airlift Wing, Reserve Unit at Andrews Air Force Base. Mr. Seanor also worked for AT&T and then the GSA helping to develop the FTS 2000 system for the US Government. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #447 F&AM in Atlanta and a member of St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church, Buford.
