Obituary of James LeRoy Dumond

James LeRoy Dumond, age 61, passed away March 26, 2010 at his home in Buford , Georgia after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 7, 1948 in Owosso , Michigan . He is predeceased by his father, LeRoy W. Dumond and half brother Wayne A. Furlong. He is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa (Teri) Hadad Dumond, daughters and son-in-laws, Stephanie and Gerry Lindsay, Jaymie and Dane Boring; son Aaron J. Dumond; grandchildren Amber, Travis, Marty and Sara. He also leaves behind 4 sisters, 2 half sisters and a half brother as well as many other extended family members and Lifelong friends. Jim served as president of Delta of Georgia, Inc. of Doraville and was a member of the Order of the Arrow Mowogo Lodge 243 Canantutlaga Chapter. He served as a brotherhood member of the OA, and was also a member of the Alcovy Oldtimers. A devoted Scouter. He also served as assistant Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 597 and Committee Chairman of Venture Crew 597 chartered by Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church where he was a member. A memorial service will be held Sunday March 28, 2010, 5 pm at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church ; 3950 Hog Mountain Road , Dacula Georgia .
