William E. "Ed" Alford, age 65 of Flowery Branch, GA died Monday, December 28, 2009. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. David Powers will officiate. Entombment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends Friday, January 1, 2009 from 11 AM-12 Noon at the funeral home.
Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his Parents; Emmitt Alford, Sr. and Virginia Alford. Brother, Emmitt Alford, Jr.
Surviving are wife, Karen Alford, Flowery Branch,GA. Children, Dustin Alford, Savannah, GA, April Collins, Cincinnati, OH and Kristi Carr, Hoschton, GA. Grandchildren, Ashton and Laine Carr and Ansley and Nathen Collins, Aunt, Allene Smith, Statesboro, GA. Sister and Brother In-law, Vivian and Paul Crews, Newington, GA. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Mr. Alford was a native of Statesboro, GA and had lived in metro Atlanta for the past 44 years. He was self employed as an investor.
