Obituary of Max F. Samples

Max F. Samples, age 70 of Buford, GA died suddenly Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Buford. Rev Gerry Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, Buford, Building Fund, PO Box 329, Buford, GA 30515.
Mr. Samples is survived by his wife, Harla Wages Samples, Buford, GA; Sons and Daughters In-law, Rusty and Cyndi Samples, Toccoa, GA, Robbie and Debbie Samples, Columbia, SC, Benjy and Dawn Samples, Lexington, SC; Grandchildren, Jessica Samples, Max Samples, Savannah Samples, Maggie Samples, Sarah Alvey, Laura Alvey, Alyssa Samples and Levi Samples; Mother In-law, Willie Lou Wages, Buford, GA; Brother In-law and Sister In-law, John and Susan Wages, Lawrenceville, GA; Brother In-law, Bob Buice, AL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Max was a lifelong resident of Buford and a member of First United Methodist Church, Buford. He was an outstanding athlete at Buford High School and received a basketball scholarship to Southern Tech.
