Oresta Richard Riva, age 95 of Dacula, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 after an extended illness. Funeral Service was held Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jason Mincey officiated. Interment followed in the spring at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Canaan, CT. The Family received friends on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Northeast Georgia Hospice, 2150 Limestone Parkway - Suite 222, Gainesville, GA 30501. Mr. Riva is survived by his wife, Irma Riva, Dacula; Daughter and Son In-law, Shirley and Lee Paulk, Dacula; Granddaughters, Tammy Whitworth, Calver, England, Heather Lynch, Dacula, Christine Tunney, Dacula; Great Grandchildren, Michael Sharp, Sarah Sharp, Joshua Tunney, Laura Ann Whitworth, Katherine Whitworth, Winter Lynch; Sister, Genevieve Veronesi, Canaan, CT. Mr. Riva was born in Berkshire County, MA and had lived in the Metro Atlanta area for 4 years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was of the Catholic Faith.
