Obituary of Daphne Elaine Rogers Robertson

Daphne Elaine Rogers Robertson, age 32 of Lawrenceville, Georgia, died suddenly Sunday, May 11, 2008. Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 12:00 Noon at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Terry Fleming will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations in remembrance of Daphne to: Teen Challenge Columbus Girls Academy, 14 Motts Drive, Seale, AL 36875. Daphne was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents and her Maternal Grandfather. She is survived by her three children, Keely, Wyatt, and Gracie all at home; Very Special and Close Friend, Rod Davis, Lawrenceville; Parents, James and Polly Rogers, Hoschton; Sister and Brother In-law, Jamie and Larry Tedesco, Plano, TX; Maternal Grandmother, Emogene Hull, Shinnston, WV; a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Daphne was born May 20, 1975 in Richmond, IN and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 4 years. A 1993 graduate of Giles High School in Pearisburg, VA, she was a varsity cheerleader, played varsity volleyball and also swam for the Southwest Aquatics Team. In 1997 she graduated form Radford University, Radford, VA with a degree in Finance. For the past several years she worked as a Project Coordinator of SAIC in Atlanta and attended McKendree United Methodist Church. Daphne had many very close and dedicated working friends who gave her much support during difficult times. She was dedicated to her children and was active, involved, and supported any activity in which her children participated. She was a swim coach for the Giles County Jets swim team for 4 years in Pearisburg, VA. Daphne never met a stranger and never backed down from a challenge. She was fun and fun to be around and she will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
