Jerry Olen, McDowell, age 54 of Buford, Georgia, died February 6, 2008 after an extended illness. Memorial Service was held Friday, February 8, 2008 at 4:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Glenn Perry officiated. The Family received friends on Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Mr. McDowell is survived by his children, Helena Kate McDowell, Gainesville, Jeremy James McDowell, Buford, Shawn Olen and Nicole McDowell, Jefferson; 10 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild; Sisters, Faye McDowell, Jefferson City, TN, Marquette Frady, Maryville, TN, Jeany Whilten, Lafayette, GA, Tiwana Lane, Maryville, TN; Brother, Welsley McDowell, Sevierville, TN. Mr. McDowell was born in Sweetwater, TN and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 35 years. He was employed with Osprey Corp.
