Obituary of Nellie Ruth-Munn Fortner

Nellie Ruth Munn Fortner, age 65 of Braselton, Georgia, died Monday, January 14, 2008. Funeral Service was held Friday, January 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church, Jefferson, Georgia. Rev. Benji Boone and Rev. Wayne Knight officiated. Interment followed in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family received friends on Wednesday from 5 - 9 PM and Thursday from 9 - 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Fortner is survived by her husband Eugene Fortner, Jefferson; Daughters and Sons In-law, Christine and Terry McDaniel, Braselton, Shirley and Mike Palmer, Maysville; Sons, Edward Fortner and Johnny Fortner, Jefferson; 15 Grandchildren, Tammy and Jason Parr, Danielsville, Genia and Bradley Green, Gainesville, Jason and Tiffany McDaniel, Braselton; Crystal Palmer, Danielsville, Anthony Fortner, Braselton, Christopher Fortner, Gainesville, Willy Fortner, Braselton, Kayla Fortner, Gainesville, Kristina Fortner, Maysville, Kattie Palmer, Maysville, Christina McDaniel, Danielsville, Jonathan Fortner, Winder; 6 Great Grandchildren, Chelsea ad Savannah Green, Danielsville, Owen and Payten Green, Gainesville, Chandler and Clarissa McDaniel, Braselton; Sister and Brother In-law, Carol and Bob Riley, Killeen, TX, Brother and Sister In-law, John and Carol Munn, Hampton, VA; Brother, Clinton Munn, Commerce; 11 Nieces and Nephews. Mrs. Fortner was born in Florence County, SC and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 48 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a home maker, and of the Baptist Faith.
