Obituary of Ronald Chesser
Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ronald Chesser went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2008. He was 72 years old. He worked for over 40 years as a Construction Superintendent with Cecil Malone Construction. He learned construction and was trained by his Grandfather, Walter Brown. He will be remembered for his love of life and the laughter and happiness that he brought to all of those who knew and loved him. Everywhere he went and everyone he met loved him because he was always happy and never met a stranger. He made friends everywhere he went! He was a very giving person and his friends would often say that he would give them the "shirt off his back" if they needed it.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Chesser. They were married for 52 ½ years. Eleanor always called Ronald her "knight in shining armor". They meant everything to each other.
He is also survived by two daughters and son in-laws; Sherrie and Dee Wiggins and Debbie and Doug Turner. His family was the most important thing to him and anyone who knew him knew about his daughters and how much he loved them and how proud he was of them. He had two grandchildren, Derek Wiggins and Deanna Turner. They were both the lights of his life. Tony Kostreba was also always an important part of his life. Tony was like a son to Ronald! Ronald always loved that Tony called him "Dad". He also had a brother and sister; Roger "Bud" Chesser and his wife Beverly and Brenda Jones and her husband Bill "Lucky". Ronald always talked about the fun times he had growing up on a farm with "Bud" and Brenda.
Also surviving is his "favorite" Uncle, James Golden Brown. He also had some very special friends; Sammy, Wanda and Kealyn Brown. They meant so much to him and he always treasured their friendship. He had two wonderful sister in-laws; Joan Dyar and her husband Ted and Linda Rolin and her husband Stanley. He also had many nieces and nephews.
He will truly be missed by all of those who knew and loved him! A private memorial service was held to celebrate his life.
