Obituary of Christina Cruce Spivey

Christina Cruce Spivey, age 43 of Braselton, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Interment Service was held Friday, November 16, 2007 at 4:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. Rev. John Batusic officiated. A Memorial Service followed at 6:00 PM at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church, Chestnut Mountain, GA for family and friends. The Family received friends on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers Christina requested memorial contributions be made to Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 4675 Winder Highway, PO Box 7280, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502. Christina was a devoted wife and mother and she will be greatly missed by her husband, Henry Spivey and daughter, Laura Spivey. She is survived by her parents, Jack and Mozelle Cruce, Grayson; Brothers, David and Brenda Cruce , Loganville, Mike and Dodi Cruce, Loganville, Phil and Cheryl Cruce, Monroe, Keane and Teresa Cruce, Grayson, Kevin Cruce, Grayson; Sisters, Cathy and Rodger Evans, Tunnell Hill, Patricia and Tommy Hope, Cumming; Numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved. Christina trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for her salvation and attended church at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. Christina taught elementary school for 15 years in Gwinnett County where she influenced the lives of many children, all of whom she loved. She often said that being a successful teacher began by assuring the children that you love and respect them.
