James C. Short, age 53 of Auburn, Georgia, died suddenly on Monday, October 22, 2007.A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, Georgia. Father Joe Mullakkara officiated. The family received friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Short was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Short. Surviving are Mother, Evelyn Short, East Moline, IL; Sister and Brother In-law, Pamela and Jerry Smith, Moline, IL; Brother and Sister In-law, Michael and Patricia Short, Buford, GA; Nephews, Mark Short, Dawsonville, GA, Scott Short, Auburn, GA, Nicholas Short, Flowery Branch, GA; Charles Culley Smith, East Moline, Il. Niece, Michelle Talbot, Rock Island, IL. Mr. Short was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa and lived in metro Atlanta the past 30 years. He was formerly employed as a Security Officer with Georgia Pacific.
