Obituary of Nellie Ozene Stroud

Nellie Ozene Stroud, age 93 of Lawrenceville, GA, died Monday, June 18, 2007 after an extended illness. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ernest Glenn will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family will receive friends immediately after the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Stroud. Surviving are Son and Daughter In-law Ernest and Geraldine Hopson, Hampton, VA, Son, William Hopson, Orlando, FL; Daughter In-law, Betty Hopson, Suwanee; Grandchildren, Deveria Gore, Denise Gould, Debra Foster, David Hopson, Linda Lyons, Crystal Johnson, William Hopson, Jr.; 12 Great Grandchildren; A host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Stroud was a native of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 10 years. She was a Seamstress with the U.S. Government Quarter Master, a member of Oaklane Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, PA, and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a joy to her family and friends and will always be remembered.
