Obituary of Jim Walter Burcham

James Walter "Jim" Burcham, age 64 of Buford, GA, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 after a brief illness. Funeral Service were held Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Danny Newbern and Rev. Paul Wade officiated. Interment followed in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford. The Family received friends on Friday, May 18, 2007 from 1-3 P.M and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon Burcham, Buford; Daughters and Sons In-law, Charmayne and Mike Waldrip, Braselton, Tammy and Brian Prather, Maysville, Missy and Ray Emmett, Braselton, Beth and Shane Chudy, Flowery Branch; Son, Darriel Burcham, Flowery Branch; Grandchildren, Ashley and Brian, Laura, Kristie, Kayla, Aaron, Chris, Brandon, Cody, Aaron P.; Great Grandson, Sean; Brother and Sister In-law, Sam and Teresa Burcham, VA; Brother, John Burcham, Bremen, GA; Sister, Catherine, Arnold, VA; Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Jim was a native of Wytheville, VA and lived in Buford the past 25 years. He was formerly employed by Bell South, was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion.
