John was a friend from Vietnam who even after 40 years still brings a smile to my face when I think of him. God bless.

Professionally John made us identify and confront challenges. As an individual his personal standards of high integrity and honesty elevated us all. I am a better person for having known John. (If you paid attention....he was very, very funny). The next time you see John.....pay attention. Until then practice what he taught and share his lessons with those you touch. John would like that.

John and I were tennis partners for a couple of years. He was the big guy and at 5'8" I was the little guy. We wanted to win (which we did a lot) but never took it too serious. There was a lot of laughter and a few cold beverages. I am thankful our paths crossed and I got to know you. RIP partner.

My heart goes out to Carole Miller and the family and friends of our friend, John Miller who passed over this week John was a great friend, mentor and coach to many business leaders and fellow coaches across the country.
The picture below was used by John as his personal image in many presentations. It was his avatar, of sorts. I will always remember him this way. Serious about having fun in life and helping others grow and become better in every way.
You will be missed, my friend. Rest now.

John had a wicked sense of humor and if you weren't paying attention to what the soft-spoken man said, you'd miss out on the chance for your comeback.
On one occasion, when Brian and I were dog sitting while they were visiting best friends David and Shelli in S. Carolina, we seized the opportunity to rattle his chain just a little. It was in our best interest that we did that while he was away and defenseless.
It was no secret that we lean to the left while he leans to the right politically speaking. John and Carole loved their dogs so much that they left the TV on so they wouldn't get lonely. Of course, it was on FOX News so we changed it to CNN. Brian left a note on their kitchen island letting him know we were the culprits but we did it strictly to widen the knowledge of our nieces, Chloe and Sarah.
You will be missed but we will take care of Bo-Bo until you can be re-united.
Love, Lisa

John was just a great guy. He spent endless hours advising and challenging me on being the best business owner I could be. He was generous with his time but he made you work for it. I think he invented homework assignments! RIP John... Heaven will be a better place with you there.

From the moment I met John, he was like a father to me. I big teddy bear is how most people would describe him. Funny stories. Witty humor. A true gent, who wanted to know more about you, than he was to divulge about himself.
Every year, when he and Carole would meet for our yearly review, you could see the love he had in his heart, and the warmth he emanated. Life will go on, but it will be a little dimmer without John.
This is a time for sadness, to be sure; however, one cannot think about John without smiling.
