Obituary of Ruth Laseter Medley

Ruth Medley, age 81, of Buford, GA died Saturday, January 23, 2016 after an extended illness. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Lee Robbins will officiate. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. Medley, son, Darrell H. Medley, mother and father, Betty and Pat Laseter, twin sister, Rachel Laseter, sister, Mary Davis, great granddaughter, Lilliann Medley, and Father in-law and mother in-law, D.C. and Mary Medley. She is survived by her children, Rachel Lewis, of Auburn, and Dwain Medley, of Buford; daughter in-law, Jamie Medley, Buford; grandchildren, Felicia Medley, Cody Medley, Faith Medley, Heather Medley, Misty Adams and husband, Jackie, Josh Medley and wife, Christy; great grandchildren, Breeanna Glover, Kaitlyn Medley, Jakob Medley, Kimberly Medley, Lindsey Potanvich, Braden Medley, Skye Medley and Noi Medley; sister, Shirley Asaro, Buford; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ruth was born in Social Circle, GA and was a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area. She was retired from TRW and a member of the Buford Church of God.
