Obituary of Lora Frances Carter

Lora Frances Carter, age 85 of Oakwood, GA, died Saturday, November 4, 2006 after an extended illness. Funeral Service was held Monday, November 6, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Minister Ted Garner officiated. Interment followed in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, McDonough, GA. The Family received friends on Sunday, November 5, 2006 from 2 to 4 P.M. at the funeral home. Surviving are Son and Daughter In-law Wayne and Ann Knight, Fayetteville; Sons, Lawrence Knight, Oakwood, Ronnie Knight, Senoia; Daughter and Son In-law, Cheryl Froelich and Glenn Loudermilk, Flowery Branch; Daughter, Deborah Hasty, Grayson; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters In-law, Hoyt and Edie McLendon, Lake City, FL, Howard and Frances, McLendon, Gadsden, AL, Milton and Joyce McLendon, Locust Grove, GA, Gene and Dot McLendon, Covington, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Carter was a native of Coweta County, Georgia and lived in Oakwood the past 5 years. She retired from the IRS as a tax examiner, was a member of Atlanta Road Church of Christ, Gainesville, a member of the Republican National Committee and fought to have the 10 Commandments displayed in Barrow and Hall Counties.
