Obituary of James A. Brinson

James A. Brinson, Jr., age 61 of Buford, GA, died suddenly Thursday, October 12, 2006. Funeral Service was held Sunday, October 15, 2006 at 5:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Dr. Michael Day officiated. Interment was in Millen City Cemetery, Millen, GA on Monday, October 16, 2006. The Family received friends on Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Brinson was preceded in death by his parents James A. Brinson, Sr. and Frances Lovett Brinson. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Donna Brinson, Buford; Son, Christopher J. Brinson, Flowery Branch; Daughter and Son In-law, Kimberly and Mike Britton, Marietta; Grandchildren, Charlie Britton, Jack Britton; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mr. Brinson was a native of Savannah, GA and had lived in Buford the past 10 years. He was a retired Colonel of the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam and was awarded several medals including 2 Purple Hearts. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 242 and a member of Celebration Baptist Church, Hoschton, GA.
