Ken Turpin age 63 of Buford, GA, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006. A celebration of Ken's life was held Friday, July 14, 2006 at 4:00 P.M. at Celebration Church, Hoschton, GA. Dr. Dorsey Deaton and Dr. Mike Day officiated. The Family received friends on Wednesday and Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Ken Turpin Memorial Fund at any Wachovia Bank. All funds donated will go to purchase shoes and clothes for orphans in Arkhangel'sk, Russia.
Mr. Turpin is survived by his wife, Eleanor Turpin, Buford; Sons and Daughters In-law, Aaron and Darcie Turpin, Buford, Damien and Heather Turpin, Tucker; Grandchildren, Kennedy Turpin and Sarah Turpin; Mother, Mary Turpin, Buford; Sister, Carolyn Hanson, St. Augustine, FL.
Mr. Turpin was a native of Dade County, FL and lived in the Metro Atlanta area the past 30 years. He was self employed in the consulting business and a member of North Point Community Church, Alpharetta, GA.
