I remember John from Miami. He would be tinkering around in the garage and was always kind and had a joke or something funny to say.He was a great example of what a father and husband should be.May the Lord help ease the pain of his loss for his family at this time.God has called him home where there is no pain.God bless you John Micheal Nicollela.

I loved my Dad! He was a great cook;he cooked really good Italian food.
My Dad was always there for me when I needed help with something. I loved going to see Philadelphia Flyers hockey games with Dad! I loved flying on Delta tri-star L1011's on family vacations in the 1970's and 1980's. My Dad would always get me airline tickets to visit friends and my cousins in Philadelphia and New York City.I loved watching hockey ,football and heavy metal mania videos with Dad. I have good memories living in Burke,Va;Dad would invite his coworker Tom Swirchak all the time to go fishing on Burke Lake and we used to catch a lot of crappie and have a fish fry.We loved fishing in the lake behind our house in Lilburn,Ga. I will miss my Dad dearly. God bless my family in our time of sorrow.
Your loving son, John Paul

John, I am not sure if this is you, but here it goes. My name is Luis A. Rivera. I lived in Winston park in a corner lot behind the Club House in West Kendall, Miami, Florida. I have thought of you and your beautiful family for many years. I can remember when we used to walk home from McMillan Jr. High and I would ask you how to say different things in English. I am truly saddened to hear about your father. May the Lord Bless Him and Keep Him in His Glory. If you want to call (786)395-9586

Thank you for being here today to honor my Dad - John Michael Nicolella. The Italian cook & father with a loving heart and soul. He was not only my father, he was my best friend. He was so much fun to be with and laugh with. He was the bravest person I know. He battled thyroid cancer for 15 years and beat the odds with a smile on his face. He was a beautiful man inside and out.
He loved to shop for groceries. He would have his coupons ready for each store - Publix, Kroger, & Costco. He would always provide food for me and my family - proudly giving and asking for nothing in return. He loved plants and cooking with fresh herbs. He could serve a meal for 10 and have all the food come out at once, hot and ready to eat. I still don't know how he could do this at every family gathering.
My Dad was a giving man. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. My Dad helped me through some hard times. He was always there for me, Mom and my brothers and sister. Family was very important to him.
My Dad loved music. His favorite band was Journey. Open Arms by Journey was his favorite song. I am sure that he is now in God's open arms in heaven. I will miss his smile and his great attitude towards life. I love you Dad, always and forever.

I worked with Nick in line maintenance at Delta for many years. What a fun guy and pleasure to be around. He loved to check L1011 passenger seats at night and collect the coins, nail clippers and whatever else was left behind. I know his family will truly miss his personality.

John and I spend a lot of time working together on the 'line' and I can remember almost everything. He is a man I will miss and never forget. Between him and his partner in antics, Hoghead, I was laughing and enjoying working with them. John taught me some sign language and I still use it. Some of it was a bit rude, but the one I know to this day is how to sign "I love you". John learned sign language from his loving wife. John is one of the people that effected the life of anyone he met. I hope his family knows of all the people who loved John and learned goodness from him.

I'll always treasure the years we worked and carpooled together. Nic was full of mischief, always looking for an opportunity to poke good natured fun at all his co-workers His hearty laugh and some special quotes will stay with me forever. Johns presence contributed to some of the best years I spent at Delta Airlines. I will miss him.
