Obituary of John T. Godbee

Mr. John T. Godbee, age 85 of Buford, GA died Saturday, May 6, 2006 after a brief illness. Funeral Service was held Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 2:00 P. M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tom Berdett officiated. Interment followed in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family received friends on Monday, May 8, 2006 from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Godbee was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Godbee. Surviving are Daughter and Son In-law, Mary Joan and Alvin Sims, Nicholson; Son and Daughter In-law, Ronnie and Kathi Godbee, Summerfield, NC; 6 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Dorothy 1. Lowry, Lilburn, June Gillespie, Lilburn. Mr. Godbee was a native of Carroll County, GA and lived in the area the past 23 years. He was a WwrI Veteran of the US Navy, retired from Winn-Dixie and a member of Light House for Jesus Church, Buford, GA.
