Obituary of Mary A. Mitchell

Mary A. Mitchell, age 83 of Snellville, GA died Thursday, January 12, 2006 after an extended illness. Funeral Service was held Sunday, January 15, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Joel Davis officiated. Interment followed in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The Family received friends on Saturday, January 14, 2006 from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her son Rev. Walter O. Gilbert. Surviving are: Daughter and Son In-law, Martha and Rev. Jesse H. Oliver, Ellenwood, GA, Son Roy W. Gilbert, Lanett, AL, Daughter In-law, Janie Gilbert, Snellville, GA; Grandchildren, Patrick and David Oliver, Kevin Gilbert, Heidi Truett, Neal Gilbert; 4 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Rev. Glover Burke, Macon, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Chambers County, AL and lived in the area the past 54 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Annistown Road Baptist Church, Snellville, GA.
