Sarah Frances Brooks Ferguson, age 85, of 3350 Fairway Bend Drive, Dacula, GA., died Friday, October 21, 2005. Funeral service was held Sunday, October 23, 2005 at 5:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. David Parker officiated. Interment followed on Monday, October 24, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Westview Cemetery in Easley, SC Rev. Connie M. Bowers officiated. The family received friends on Sunday, October 23, 2005 at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory to First Baptist Church Duluth, 2908 Duluth Hwy., Duluth, GA 30096 or to Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA 30096.
Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vester L. Brooks; Brother, Lindsay Brooks; Son, Marvin Brooks Ferguson. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Marvin Colie Ferguson, Dacula; Daughter and Son In-law, Rebecca and Max Martin, Bowersville; Daughter In-law, Lynda Long, Hilton Head, SC; Grandchildren, Sharon and Scott Ankerich, John and Lynn Martin, Lance and Sherri Ferguson, Marcia and Chris Muckenfuss, Lacey and Casey Everett, Jason Martin and Amy Thomas; Great-Grandchildren, Savannah Ankerich, Jessica Martin, Amelia Ankerich, Rosemary Ankerich, Rebecca Muckenfuss, Mackenzie Everett, Samuel Muckenfuss, and Riley Everett, Nikki Guarnella, Samuel Guarnella, Chloe Guarnella, and Ella Kate Ankerich; Sister, Gertrude B. Moore, Greenville, SC; Sister In-law, Camille Brooks, Jackson, Miss; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted pastor's wife and served with her husband in many Georgia Baptist churches. She was an accomplished pianist who shared her gift with many children, teaching private piano lessons for over 50 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Duluth, GA. Mrs. Ferguson loved her family and friends very much and will always be in our hearts for evermore.
