George W. Adams, age 88 of Buford, GA., died Friday, July 15, 2005 after an extended illness. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Farrell Presley will officiate. Interment will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 16, 2005 from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Burton Adams; Sister and Brother In-law, Hattie and Monroe Maynard; Brothers and Sisters In-law, Clarence and Myrtle Adams, Bonnie and Obie Adams, Vollie and Bertie Lee Adams. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ola Gilliland Adams, Buford; Daughter and Son In-law, Janice and Bob Murphy, Buford, Sons and Daughters In-law, Kenneth and Wanda Adams, Buford, Keith and Cerita Adams, Buford; Grandchildren, Kim and David Duncan, Chris and Cindy Adams, Raquel Adams; Great Grandchildren, Ashley Duncan, Jordan Duncan, Savannah Adams, Kaitlyn Adams; Sisters In-law, Nell Heard, Florine Gilliland; Brother In-law and Sister In-law, Myron and Latrelle Gilliland; Many Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Adams was a native of Gwinnett County and a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Buford. He was a saddle maker for 30 years at Bona Allen, Earl Vance Leather Co. and Wofford Leather Co. He later retired from J. M. Tull after 13 years. Mr. Adams loved his family and friends. He shared much laughter and smiles and will always be in our hearts.
