Obituary of David Alan Harkins

David Alan Harkins, age 50, of Dacula, GA, died Saturday, January 6, 2018 after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church. Rev. Jason Mincey will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family request, donations to Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church (hmumc.org). David is survived by his wife Kathy Harkins, Dacula; children, Josh Harkins, Marissa Harkins and Sam Harkins all of Dacula; parents, David and Ruby Harkins, Morgantown, WV; sisters, Karen Moas and husband Ed, Manassas, VA, Alayna Allen and husband Wayne, Middletown, MD; father in-law and mother in-law, Carl and Shirley McDaniels, Buckhannon, WV; brothers in-law, Rodney McDaniels and wife Pennie, Augusta, GA, Randy McDaniels and wife Carol, Augusta, GA; several nieces and nephews. David was born in Huntington, WV and had lived in the metro Atlanta area for 25 years. He was employed as Regional Vice President with Surgery Partners and a member of Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church.
