Obituary of Gina Leigh Faulk

Gina Leigh Faulk, age 49, of Lawrenceville, GA, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018 following an extended illness. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 12 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Greg Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made in memory of Gina to the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance (gaovariancancer.org). Gina was preceded in death by her mother, Jayne McElfresh. She is survived by her husband, Scott Faulk, Lawrenceville; father, Orville McElfresh, IL; sisters, Lisa Hegesth (Todd), IL, Krista Papesh (Joe), IL; father in-law & mother in-law, Emmett and Lou Faulk, Augusta, GA; brother in-law and sisters in-law, Steve Faulk (Robin), SC, Robin Livingston (David), Augusta, Caren Sanders, Augusta; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; a large group of special coworkers. Gina was born in Park Ridge, IL and had lived the last 18 years in the metro Atlanta area. Gina graduated from Eastern Illinois and later achieved her Master’s Degree. She was employed with the Gwinnett County School System, teaching at Dacula Middle School. She was also active in cancer research projects.
