Doreen, I had the privilege of being introduced to employee and man James was when we worked grave yard shift together in Computer Operations in the early 80's, and the great honor of getting to know him better and meeting you through your mutual gift of hospitality and shared love of the outdoors. Enjoyed, if you can call hauling an overstuffed backpack enjoyable, exploring trails in the mountains and valleys of North Georgia and the Carolinas with James and sometimes you. You and James knew how to set a holiday table and host parties for family, friends, and coworkers (no better way to spend the 4th of July). No father could have had a more caring and devoted son. Most of all, I remember and miss the truly. gentle, humble, and selfless man who gave so much more than could ever be reciprocated by employer, family, and friends. A raised glass (or can) to James and my deep and sincere sympathy to you and all who knew him for your loss. - Allan

I didn't have the pleasure in meeting James but I felt like I knew him from how Doreen talked about all their fun adventures: Hiking, camping & their fun adventures together! I love you Doreen & will always be here for you <3

I knew James from the old Computer Room days at the hospital, and was so happy that he moved to networking at Vinings, where we would often run into each other again. I always enjoyed hearing what he had been doing lately in the great outdoors. My wife Mary knew James at the hospital and loved his friendly, calm and kind demeanor, he was just a great guy. We send our deepest sympathies to all of the family. Lamar, you raised a fine, fine son.
Love, Steve and Mary Ransbotham

I met James back in 1988 when I started work at Piedmont Hospital in the IS department. James was already working there. He was friendly and welcoming to others. Ready to share his knowledge of our operational duties. He was a great source of help to me in those early days when I came into a shop with different equipment than what I was used to. He was always willing to help others. Straightforward, honest, the kind of man we all look forward to knowing. Thank you James for all your help. It was an honor to know you.

Dear Doreen, Uncle Lamar, Aunt Becky and Mark,
Most of my memories of Jamie was when we were younger listening to albums and playing outside, he was kindest person I ever met and seemed to always be thinking of others. I am sad that he has left this earth, his absence is such a huge loss to others. I know God has taken him in his arms and embraced him without hesitation.
So very sorry for your loss, there are no words I can say to ease your grief, but know he was very much loved and in our hearts.
Love Donna

I remember the first time I met James in the Computer room at Piedmont Hospital (Basement of the mail hospital) when Lamar brought him and his little brother Mark by. Then in 1987 he became an employee. We were on the 6th floor of the 84 building by then. James was always a great employee. I will miss you James. Jo (Autrey) Allen
