It was always a joy to see Joy and her uplifting spirit. She always had a kind word of encouragement at the meetings and during my study that she would attend as a guest with Lisa Walker periodically. I'll miss hearing her voice ring out while singing during the meetings. Her sweet melody voice, you could always hear it. Her laughter was unique also. She had such grace, poise and beauty, She will surely be missed. I pray for all your comfort and peace as I know Joy will be missed by you all. Love the Mack Family (Rodney, Angel &DeVaun).

We would like to send our condolences to the family. We met Joy when they came to the Charleston area back a few years ago. It was arranged that they would attend our congregation meeting that Sunday and come over to our home for hospitality. That was truly a great time. When I first saw Joy at our meeting, she looked at me and smiled; from that warm smile, I knew that we would be friends for life. That afternoon that they spent with us was by far one of the best afternoons we have ever had! We truly enjoyed getting to know everyone in the family and them getting to know us. We look forward to the time in the very near future when death will be removed. Joy will be forever remembered in our hearts.

Dear Brother Ekeoma, AJ, TJ, and family, I am thinking of you all with love and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Joy was kindhearted and caring. As I read her obituary I thought of an occasion during her illness where she replied to a text of mine and apologized for not having answered sooner – she did indeed care so much about the feelings of others! I will remember and treasure her example of faith and loving Christian qualities.

Although your family hasn't lived very long in our culdesac, I knew immediately, I had special neighbors.
Joy's smile was uplifting and her sweet spirit so genuine. In addition to Jehovah, her joy, was her family, and her love for them, was extremely obvious. She did a wonderful job raising AJ and TJ, and because of that, I am sure, they share many of her wonderful qualities. Titus, you were amazing, the way you took such good care of Joy this past year.
Praying for your family, during these difficult days. We will miss Joy.

Brother Ekeoma,
I feel a void in my heart.
Sister Joy was such a nice person and a wonderful sister.
We are robbed of her smile and her great sense of hospitality, whether in the comfort of your home at the field service meetings on Saturdays or at the weekly meetings at the Kingdom hall.
We are all shaken, but we take comfort to know that we have hope to see her again in the resurrection.
The sight of your two beautiful children she left behind will keep us going in the meantime.
Jehovah will be with you as the greatest helper to strengthen you on the difficult path ahead.
My sincere condolences.
Your brother.

Titus, AJ, TJ and family, I want to say I am so sorry for your loss of Joy. I never had the pleasure of meeting Joy in person, but I did get to talk with her on several occasions. In these conversations with Joy, I sensed that she was a sweet caring young lady and I enjoyed talking with her. She is the same age as my son and that plays even heavier on my heart that she was way too young to leave this world, but that is not something we have control over. We just have to be ready. I pray peace and strength for you all. My heart goes out to each one of you. Remembering Joy! Love, Debbie

To Titus and family, I send my deepest condolences. I will miss my dear friend her smile, laughter, and our deep spiritual conversations at the park. I will miss my field service partner. I know I will see my faithful spiritual sister again. I can hear her say hi, Sister Fran, then she will say something funny and we both will laugh. I thank my God Jehovah for arranging things for her return. The resurrection hope is real to all who know Jehovah and his son. We will see each other again. May Jehovah be with you and the family. Lend on him for endurance and strength to get you through this.
Love, Sister Riddick

Dear uncle and family- The passing away of Joy my aunt has been one of the most painful thing that has happened to us but most especially to you and your beautiful family. May Jehovah our heavenly father continue to strengthen and comfort you and your family this time. Our consolation lies on the fact that joy was a faithful witness and ressurection awaits her. Like Job14 :14 and 15 says Jehovah will call and she will answer. We shall see her again. May the resurrection hope continue to be a source of strength to you and family

“My Beloved Joy” (MBJ) is how I called you because you were beloved to me. As family members, love, affection, care and support reigned freely in the family! An exemplary spiritual family where everyone cared lovingly for his or her role. You were my nurse under your roof, both in New Jersey and Georgia, every year as you looked after me and nursed me to good health! Once I felt better, it was time for field ministry, our return visits and conducting our Bible Studies. On returning home it was time to talk. Oh, what encouraging, up-building and faith strengthening those chats were around the dinner table! With Obi at work and AJ and TJ in school, we had a lot to talk about, from aspects of prophecies we’re witnessing their fulfilment, to JW News, experiences, our children and foods around the world. And what an à la carte menu were prepared daily!” MBJ left indelible mark, spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically, both in the family and the Congregation. She was wholly devoted to the truth and full of love for friends and family. Her contributions during Family Worship were remarkable thus showing excellent example for AJ and TJ. She was endeared to all who knew her. We’re all grieving now, but soon we’ll cry our eyes out on welcoming her back to Jehovah’s New World of righteousness. Yes, for we will keep our eyes on the prize! - 2 Corinthians 4:18.
My beloved Tai! Be courageous and strong. Charming is sleeping for a little while and soon she will “come out!” and will again be a “perfect present” from Jehovah. - John 11:43; James 1:17. My beloved children AJ and TJ, mom loved and cared for you and she believed that Jehovah will finish your training. Continue to know the God of mom, Jehovah and serve him with your complete heart. - 1 Chronicles 28:9; 1 Peter 5:10. May “the God of all comfort,” Jehovah continue to comfort us all. - 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4. Tai, Mama must not know what has happened! Our heartfelt condolences to the rest of Ekeoma’s family and all of Akpa’s family.

We send our love and sincerest condolences to Titus, AJ, TJ and the rest of the Ekeoma and Akpa families. Joy was a real treasure. She was beloved by all who knew her. When she came to NJ, our families bonded and we became one. She set a sterling reputation as a loyal and true servant of our Great God Jehovah and lived up to the words at Ruth 2:11 “everyone in the city knows that you are an excellent woman.” Joy left a fine example for all to follow of what it truly means to be an integrity keeper and a loving friend. She will be sorely missed. How we long for the day when she awakens from her nap and is fully restored to those who love her in paradise. May Jehovah’s promises and holy spirit continue to be a source of comfort for her family and friends.
Love Always,
Still & Fisher Family
