You were gone before we knew or realized it. God knew the time was right for you to enter heaven, rest peacefully and watch over us. In life, as a wife, mother and grandmother we loved you dearly, and continue to love you beyond death. We will always remember the best times shared together as a couple and family. In our hearts you hold an everlasting and uncomparable place. May God bless and protect us all.
Love,
Russ, Abel, Scott, Katie, Ethan, Logan, Matthew, Aidan and Regan

While my heart and soul is overwhelmed with deep sorrow and pain from the loss, what will remain is the lasting bond and memories of Debbie. She will always be the sunshine and a special part of my life. I am also comforted that because of her strong christian faith in God, through church and bible devotion, she now peacefully and happily rests and dwells in heaven among the Lord and his angels. At last she achieved the ultimate goal of eternal spiritual life hereafter.
Words alone cannot say enough how thankful I am to her 2 sons, Abel and Scott Caldera, for taking great care of Debbie throughout their lives and particularly the past two years, 24/7, during her battle with cancer.
I also extend a thank you to my two sisters of Jacksonville, FL, Lori Watkins and Cindy Young, their husbands Ray and John, and each of their families for the tremendous support, calls, cards, books, flowers, house work, meals, visits and funeral attendance.
Finally, my thanks to her brother Greg Hill and sister in-law Sandra and their family, Pastor Trevor Knight of 12 Stone Church and funeral directors Mickey Maddox and Daryl Hammond.
Love Always,
Russ Mays, Husband

Heaven gained another angel on September 5th. Debbie always knew how to make you laugh, was always there to talk and always kept a positive outlook on life despite her health challenges. Just a few of our fond memories include boating on the St. Johns River, riding motorcycles together in the hills of North Georgia and learning how to crochet in quiet time at home. She and Russ, enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling together and cruising the seas for new adventures. Debbie loved life and lived it to it’s fullest. We will miss her sweet disposition and loving nature. Rest in Peace Debbie. We will carry your memories forever with us in our hearts and minds until we meet again. Love John and Cindy Young.

Forever in our hearts, we will always remember our loving and cheery "Aunt Debbie". Her laugh could light up a room and she always had the funniest stories. She was a loving wife and always bragged on her husband, Uncle Russ. They took many cruises and vacations over the course of their marriage and the memories they shared exuded their light-hearted love for each other. She often shared about her grandkids which she adored beyond words! She will be dearly missed for her caring spirit and willingness to help others. We always enjoyed our visits with you during family get-togethers and over the holidays. We love you "Aunt Debbie". Love, Justin, Ashley (niece), Davis and Avery Jones.
