Where to begin…I worked with her for many years at Ozark Orthopaedic in North West Arkansas. She was honest and stubborn and compassionate and real. Rest well in God’s grace, Sally.

What a good friend Sally was. Lot of memories with talking on that table in back of the clinic! She helped me get started in orthopaedics and cheered me on when it was really hard to start with - it was Dr. Coker after all. She knew everything about orthopaedics. When she stayed with me right before she retired we never tired of listening to Bob Dillon. The clinic was not the same after she left and I missed her terribly. She was just such a smart, good and kind person who absolutely belonged in the nursing field. She is probably taking care of somebody in heaven.

Jesse,
I am very sorry to learn of the passing of Sally. I know that she meant a lot to you, and you will really miss her. In reading her obituary I learned how much she gave to the nursing and medical profession during her life.
Your friend,
Ron Williams

Sally (and Jesse) lived aboard Pyxis at the end of my dock in Hampton. We had just purchased a boat and planned to live aboard while prepping for future cruising. My military husband was ordered last minute to remain at the last duty post another month. Spotty cell service, no internet, an utterly brand new living environment in which I knew nothing, in a brand new to me city. I felt utterly isolated and adrift. Sally invited me aboard Pyxis and was such a salve in that first lonely month. She showed me such kindness, as was her way. I’ll never forget her. I’m always grateful to her for the friendship she offered me during that month. These photos are from when she and Jesse finally untied the lines after 13 years of planning. They’re chasing the horizon and fulfilling their dream.

Jesse, how glad I am that I went on Shademan's birthday float in 2017. Meeting you and Sally was an absolute treasure. Jamie and I often talk about the memories of that time with great friends like you two. This obituary was a beautiful tribute to Sally; I really appreciate learning more about what a difference she made before setting sail with you in retirement.
