Obituary of Denise Anne Huggins

Denise Anne Huggins, age 65 of Lawrenceville, GA, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary & St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church, Buford. Father Tim Watts will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family will receive friends on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home with Rosary Service at 8 PM. Denise was preceded in death by her Parents, John Krall and Mary Smith Krall. Surviving are: Husband, Al Huggins, Lawrenceville; Daughters and Sons In-law, Karen and Rick Willingham, Suwanee, Paige and Robert Elliott, Cornelia; Son and Daughter In-law, Dan and Christa Huggins, Lilburn; Grandchildren, Katherine Willingham, Garrett Willingham, Claire Willingham, Zachary Hinnant, Cameron Huggins, Sam Huggins. Brother and Sister In-law, John and Nancy Krall, NJ; Sisters and Brothers In-law, Pat Krall and Cary Fredrick, MA, Kathy and Bruce Dawson, FL, Brother, Richard Krall, FL. Mrs. Huggins was born in Yonkers, New York and lived in the Metro Atlanta area the past 35 years. Denise graduated from Cochran School of Nursing in 1967. She also earned a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Mercy College and an MBA at Georgia State University. During her tenure at the Gwinnett Hospital System, she served as Director of Education, an administrator at Glancy Rehabilitation Center, and recently retired as a Case Manager in Coordinated Care at the Lawrenceville campus of Gwinnett Medical Center.
