If I could be anyone, I want to be the most “complicated” person I knew, who is no longer here. If I could be anyone, I want to be the person who cannot be here. I want to live in the mind of someone whose mind I cannot live in – who found it difficult to live in her own mind. If I could be anyone, I want to be myself the day after I learn regret is not something “negative” to reject, but to accept as a bitter pill – a delivery device for recovery. If I could be anyone, I want to be myself the day after I learn that there is much more we can do than be stifled by regret – continue to change the way we treat those with mental illness.
