Rubena was my Great Aunt.....I wanted to share this at her memorial but I was too upset to share it with everyone, so I would like to share it now. As far as I"m concerned I was blessed with two Grandma's...one was Wyena and the other was her twin Rubena. My grandma passed away when I was 13, she lived with us almost all of my life and she was like a 2nd mom to me so when she passed I was heart broken. Aunt Rubena was always there to listen. Her heart couldn't have been any bigger for those she loved. When you asked her opinion you got it good or bad but her heart was always in the right place. That laugh of hers was contagious! When she came to my wedding in NJ with cousin Jean it meant the world to me. I have a picture of our side of the family and we are all smiling from ear to ear because of Aunt Rubena. The photographer was busy posing everyone and the next thing you know she was down on the floor lying on her side with one leg up....it was hilarious! I know she is now with her sisters in heaven and what a time I'm sure they are having! I now have one more angel to say goodnight to!

Ruebena was my Aunt. She was quite a "rascally" old bird, but she was always the same each time you talked to her. She readily gave advice to anyone who asked her opinion, but you had better be ready for her answer! It might not be what you were hoping for, but it was a serious answer from her. She loved all of her nieces and nephews, especially as we began to have parents going home to be with the Lord. She loved reunions and any kind of get together we could come up with. You just knew NOT to question her on "politics", but of course we had the ones like Bobby, Edwin and Jimmy Tuttle that would bring up the subject just to see her get all riled up! She and I had many conversations over the phone the last few years. I think she took turns calling me and Linda just to hear different stories. I always thought in her younger days, she looked like "Bette Davis"! I told her one day and she got a kick out of that! She will be missed, she was our last "blood-relative", (so Aunt Doris, you are our last Aunt period.)
Her memory will last through this Tribute page, so when you feel a need to talk to her, just do it!!
Love to all,
Donna Jean & Family

I always got a kick out of hearing Rubena and Uncle Bobby's "debates" at the dinner table. She was truly a classy lady who definately knew how to stand her ground. I also loved being around her because I saw so much of my Granny Hall in her. I will miss her so much.

I visited with Rubena 2 days before she passed - she was a tough woman and I admired her greatly. She will be missed by all. I will miss her phone calls "just to chat and see how you are doing", she would say and we would talk for more than 1/2 a hour at a time. Lee, I know she is very proud of every thing you did for her final tribute - you were great.
Love and Kisses always,
Your sister
